Jesus said, "It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and give his life as a ransom for many" (Matthew 20:26-28 ESV)
Did you catch that? Christ Jesus came to SERVE and NOT to be served. We welcome you to become like Jesus and find a way to serve the church and the community. The church has many needs and sometimes so few of laborers. In Galatians 6, Paul writes, "And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have the opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith."
As the body of Christ, we are all equipped with different gifts and ways to grow God's kingdom. We urge you to step out in faith and in service of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is through this act of obedience that you will gain community within the church, be challenged to grow in your faith, and be blessed by seeing the Lord at work in your life, and in the lives of those you are serving!
